So on the fence to return GS4 for this, Convince me that that is right?

I dunno, it is a lil bit of a drawback i suppose, but on the other hand, with the S4 had tried the S View cover, (in black AND white) a bling bling case, the jelly case and also "bareback" (without ANY case on it AT ALL, and i STILL wound up returning it so it turns out "clothes DON'T always make the man" (or in this instance, "Cases Don't Make The Phone",,, (my insanity asides...lol)

i think if the phone is "the right phone" then, accessories/schmaccessories...lol

Most of us AndroidCentralians would take up the ENTIRE hospital... AND the mods could reside in the annex...lol

I have to agree with you, and make sure there is some open rooms in the hospital ward for the rest of us :)

Just got back from swapping out my S4 for the OG Pro and can say I should have gone with it to begin with. I hate re-stock fees, grrrr but that was my error.

Welcome back :) I still have my s4. If it wasn't rooted with a big custom boot every time i would take it back. Don't feel like messing with it so will just keep and give to a family member I guess they aren't as inn to phones

I had the S4 for a few days but returned in because of the lag and problems with the screen (smearing/red tinted blacks/black clipping...xda forums are packed with screen issues ). I have decided once and for all to stay away from AMOLED screens. I checked out the OGP today at the local ATT store. Its a beauty...and a beast. The UI was fast and customizable (I probably wouldnt find a need to use Nova launcher with this phone). The screen just looks amazing. I found that I could write pretty legibly with my fingers with Q notes. I'm absolutely fine with the back button being on the left since my Gnex button arrangement is the same way. Some might argue to wait for the Note 3....no thank you.....its probably going to cost 300 dollars on contract and come with only 16gb (8.5 gb usable) memory. Plus, the AMOLED headaches.

Sooooooo, didja get it?

Restocking fees don't really bug me (and boy have i had my share) i just rationalize 35 bucks to rent the phone for 2 weeks to see if i like it :-*

I'm home now waiting for Fed Ex... Hubby waited till noon then i left work to relieve him. S/b here by 3 it said. I am pysched, they not only waived expedited shipping, but told me it would be 3 days. Well, i only ordered it last nite... Imagne my surprise when i pulled up the tracking number this morning and it said, "out for delivery"... i had to do a double-take, AT&T N-E-V-E-R moves that fast...lol

I better head over and get one. An S 4 with Jelly Bean was NOT what I was hoping for from Google I/O. Only a LTE Nexus 4 might have swayed me from the LG Pro. I would expect more cases soon, the phone is new and kind of a niche phone at that.

Thank you :) I have to say I should have given the OG Pro more time and gone with it first and then swapped it out if I was unhappy. I could have saved $35 restock fee and I love the screen, size of the phone (fingerprint magnet though). Just ordered a pair of TPU cases so I can mod one to work with the flip cover if it doesn't work I have a space to use.

I'm the same way, this is a great phablet phone for now and will be solid for 6 months, if the GN3 turns out being something truly worth getting well then I have one more upgrade available that I can use or I can just pay FP then. I am torn between returning the S4 and the OG Pro. I want the bigger brighter screen, but some of the UX just isn't for me. Trade off's are a bummer.
the problem with the at&t gn3 is it will have a locked bootloader just like the s4 does.

Sadly you are right about that. Locked bootloaders are becoming a pita. Glad to be on AT&T and perhaps Google will offer a phablet in the future as a nexus device (though not likely).

i like my htc one and it has plenty of development but its a tad small for me coming from my note 2. if we get aosp and a unlocked bootloader for this LG pro ill probably grab one.

I sure did!
Used my credit for two blackberry bold 9700 trade-ins and got it for 60 bux out the door :D

Very happy with my purchase, just gotta get used to the larger size. Besides some backlight bleeding/nonuniformity (went through two handsets and the demo unit, same thing) I honestly cant find any fault with this phone.

how do you block ads, I have rooted my OGP, can you give guide hate ads, it uses my data and consume battery, ty in adv
