So Radio Shack may have a midnight opening on 06/04???

My store is in southern NJ. It's going to be a long day, but I am real excited for it. I like these kind of things, because you really get to geek out with some cool people over a shared interest.

Well, me personally when I do my confirmation calls, if I have enough intrest I will open whenever my customers want me to lol. Be it 4, 5 or 6 am. There will also be coffee and donuts provided by myself. (I work right next to a dunkin donuts lol)

Just curious, on rt 70? LOL, I hate that dunkin donuts.... I bought a laptop from you guys on black friday and while I was waiting outside the store, the woman who works at DD called the cops on me and swore up and down that I was trying to break in while sitting in my lawn chair.

Well the RS I ordered mine through is in a bad neighborhood, right next to a Subway where you order your sandwich through a bullet proof window, so I don't think they'll be opening early. I'm not even sure how many people would have gone there to order the Evo.

Lol...I do wonder where that Subway is located. I am from the San Diego area and have never seen a Subway with a bullet proof window or shield ...funny

I preordered from the radio shack at the cumberland mall in Vineland. They're not opening any earlier. Collingswood is a hour away though. I'll just wait until 10am, lol.

Just called my local Radio Shack to see if they were going to open early that day and they informed me that they 'may' have a midnight opening but were not sure yet After confirmation they did say they were going to call me by the 3rd and LMK so I will update this thread as more info comes in.

They better have security well on hand...can you imagine the people being jacked by predators on the way to their cars, furthermore followed from the lot?

Sucks that we have to think about that kinda stuff.

It's on University Avenue in North Park. The Subway store is way more secure than the Radio Shack.

ive called 4-5 stores around my area.. non are opening early even tho they have plenty of pre orders.. the one response i got as to why was "its up to the district manager" so i was just wondering if any in san diego has heard differently

If they don't call me before Friday, I'm just going to drive by there before 9:00 am to see if they're open. I don't get up at 6:00am anyway.

Do you have to activate the phone right then and there at Radio Shack?

I actually have some important things to do that day. I also want to take my phone straight to Zagg and have the invisible shield put on.

The thinking is, I'll just drop my phone off at Zagg, go do what I have to do, and come back later to pick my phone up from Zagg. I might as well keep using my current phone while I do all this, and then activate the Evo when I pick it up from Zagg.

Anyone know if that wikll fly, or will Radio shack activate it and then make me ESN swap back to my old phone. And if I do ESN swap back top my old phone 10 seconds after Radio Shack activates it, would that cause any problems?
