It's not going to happen. Verizon rarely ever puts a phone up for order on the website before it actually goes on sale in stores. Pretty dumb, because the means people who order online have to wait an extra day, generally. They've only really done that with DROID branded devices. No preorder = not on website before it's instores.

that is so false. plenty of phones went on sale before they were in stores. fascinate, iphones, just to name a few.

I really do not think there will be a "huge announcement". By that I mean "pomp and circumstance" type of an announcement. Just a press release and move on about your day. The way things are shaping up you will see something on the day of that phone goes on sale. Wouldn't be the first time but in this day and age of instant information we expect to have the info before it's available.
