Thanks, man!Old style will be incompatible.
You'll love the ease of swapping bands though. The connectors and release tab system (on the bottom of the watch case) are basically the same as on the GW7 Ultra.
Thanks for this! They are selling watchband adapters on Amazon for around $10

My bands are 20mm I believe but I don't really want to fool with adapters. My husband said try to sell them all on Market place to at least buy 1 or 2 more will see. I did a search on Amazon for bands for the 8 and several came up but they probably aren't the right type.Instead of the button to release the band being on the band, there's now a release button on the bottom of the watch case itself.
These adapters
Will stay mounted to your GW8 and then you can use any pin style band be it Samsung or equivalent size mm.

All my bands are 20mm the adapter mentions watch 8 and classic but shows 22mm. Not sure I'm even going to use one but I may now. So is the one in the link above from Amazon what I need?I love the watch band adapters. Gives you a lot more options when it comes to watch bands. Youre not stuck looking for gapless bands that only work with that particular watch.
So now im shopping for any 22mm metal watch band. Anyone have any ideas of what they will be using?
I got a set in and can confirm that they do not work with my watch 7 band which is a 20mm. So they are for 22mm bandsAll my bands are 20mm the adapter mentions watch 8 and classic but shows 22mm. I'm confused also!Hey man, thanks for the link!
Still am confused, as the double speak doesn't plainly state that it will connect a 20 mm band, which is the width of all the bands that connected to the classic watches (40/44 sizes) Samsung made.
I get Samsung's new style band connects 22mm bands.
Hmmm
Oh really thanks for confimingI got a set in and can confirm that they do not work with my watch 7 band which is a 20mm. So they are for 22mm bands
I have a $50 Amazon gift card I got from my Fetch App and am looking at bands now. If I like this Fabric one I am getting with my watch I will order one more in a different color from Samsung it's showing $34 for me with my discount. But on Amazon some bands actually say small and then med/lg which I need small. But most are just one size only because they work for the regulars and classic I don't like that and am worried it won't fit as good as one that just says small. I may just have to do Samsung.Of course the old style will be incompatible, can't sell more watch bands if they were the same. Samsung learning from apple every year.
I never buy watch bands from Samsung. Mot paying 250 bucks for a metal watch bandOf course the old style will be incompatible, can't sell more watch bands if they were the same. Samsung learning from apple every year.
I'm not paying that .ichnfor watch bands either. They changed basically nothing on the new ultra, but they saw the need to change the band connection, Samsung is learning from apple, change the connection and everyone needs to order new bands. There was no reason to change it but for forced sales.I never buy watch bands from Samsung. Mot paying 250 bucks for a metal watch bandbut it does open the door for more vendors and cuts down on product development at least for this series.
Yea considering the only thing that changed was storage size. I didnt spring for the Ultra. I didnt like it. That bulky of a watch but no rotating bezel was crazy. Not to mention the 600+ dollar price tag. Plus i dont use the LTE versions. But I did get the classic this go around. I hope they stay with this style and size connector going forwardI'm not paying that .ichnfor watch bands either. It doesn't matter to me this time anyway, buying the new ultra would be basically buying your current ultra, would be like throwing a few hundred dollars out the car window driving down the highway, so I'm. Not buying it anyway. I know there isn't usually much upgrades on new releases, but Samsung went out of their way at making as few upgrades as possible this time around.
