So thinking of going to at&t

As everybody already know me and you don't got no problems disagreeing about both our cell carriers but I agree with u on this. I always said in YOUR AREA WHERE U TRAVEL Sprint wasn't workin for u. And if it was before nv who can blame lol.

Mell!! Hope your doing well man. I just wanted to note that yes you and I have had our ups and down. But during that time I have never hated or disliked you. Now I may have disagreed with you but thats it. Also you and I have an understanding that we can poke at each other and not take it personally. Like I have told you I have told him...I was with Sprint for 7 years up until about a year and half a go. IN my experience att has been more reliable for me. Now for you 2 its different and I understand that.

I only called him out on the "troll" card. It's nothing more than a crutch to stand on because he does not agree with me and thats fine. I have not been nasty toward him or anyone in this thread. But then again its not the first time and I'm sure not the last someone will pull the card. In the end I don't mind. But thank you for being understanding and not taking ones opinion so personally. We can all be good sports here and agree to disagree. :)

Now I will get back track here. Sorry for allowing this thread to become off track. So to the OP...Let us know what you end up doing! I'd be interested in hearing the rest of your story!

Dude do you ever get tired of cheerleading your move to AT&T in the "SPRINT FORUMS" its really starting to come off as Trolling....If you're so happy with your move why do you constantly troll the Sprint forum..It's like you're looking for validation or something...There's an AT&T forum for AT&T cheerleading.... A lot of people don't want to get wallet Rape for Limited data...

I'll take a consistent 5 - 10 MB down on Unlimited over unsustainable 50 MB down on a 2GB plan ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!

Sure Sprint's "Legacy" network is crap, but the legacy network is going away just like iDen is going away... In places where NV is significantly underway and making a difference AT&T has NO upside to Sprint's Unlimited LTE what-so-ever and it will be this way across the entire network soon enough... Sprint wont be the "Sh*tty" network for too much longer, as a matter of fact once the build out for LTE-Advanced comes into light Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile will find themselves right where Sprint is now, everyone will be asking, "How was it Sprint is able to launch LTE-A, so much faster than the other big 3", and I'm going to sit back and laugh my *** off, because all the heavy lifting Sprint did during NV Verizon, ATT and T-MO need to do now in order to launch LTE-A.

I don't see Sprint and Softbank having too hard a time winning back customers once the playing field is level and the advantages of NV really start to come into light. I'm holding out on Verizon right now, until NV is finished in the NYC metro. Once it done my contract with Big Red should just about up, I will see where things stand and if Sprint is still the better offer (no-doubt it probably will be) and LTE is rock solid, I fully intend on coming back to Sprint. Verizon's LTE in NYC is NOTHING to write home about, its better than 3G but man it is congested here, something I'm glad Sprint wont suffer too much of with Clearwire's 2.5 spectrum providing plenty of overlay for offloading in high dense urban areas..and Sprint unlike Verizon is already beginning to prime their phones for Tri-band use so when 800 and 2.5 spectrum becomes available the equipment can immediately take advantage.

example of how congested Verizon's LTE is in NYC:

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-...wfQzpkN0/w470-h835-no/2013-01-31+09.03.30.png

Enjoy ATT and Big Red right now, but see me in 2 years something tells me Sprint will be sitting quite nicely.

The thing is at&t is better then version a. Doc are better off but my plan was to go to AT&T then come back to Sprint in two years.

I'm glad your in a good coverage area. However, I'm sad that your pulling the "troll" card when the op was clearly considering att. I like hm was in his shoes a little over a year ago. There for talking about my experience is far from being a "troll". If Sprint works for you then good job! It does not seem to be working for others like my self or the OP in some case. On top of that I have been with all major carriers. Sprint the longest and I didn't leave all that long ago. So I tend to comment on what I can in each forum list. As this is a place of pure information. Sounds like you don't like others questioning you beloved Sprint? Maybe in reality we are more alike then we would like to admit but we come from to different opinions. You know what that's called? Human, my friend. We are allowed to think differently. But unlike you I will notdamn you for your opinion. Please carry on loving Sprint as its your free right to do so!
Thank you for concern,
CJ

Thank you after being original poster I was just asking people there. Of AT&T if I would go I'll go to ATT for 2 years I may go back to sprint after two after that. But I don't want anyone calling one of trolls and you're not a troll you're giving me your about opinion of at&t you were with Sprint. And I think you for your opinion

I left 7 years of Sprint in October made move to ATT
ATT has provided me Better coverage , Data speeds , Device choices , CS..... ........heck everything.

With Sprint Unlimited I could barley break 1/2 GB due to Speeds being so darn slow....basically unusable.
With ATT 3GB plan I use a little over 2GB enjoy what device has to offer.

Just depends on area :). I have 7 days left in cycle and knocking on the 7-8 GB usage door. But also 7 years ago it was 3g only to.. So.. Things change :).

Why go there?

Just go to Verizon.

It's cheaper, better service, the largest 4g network, I'm failing to see a downside!

Is it? When I priced out Verizon (2GB of data) it was 100 a month before taxes... ATT with 450 minutes / 3GB data / unlimited messages and mobile to mobile is 90 after taxes.

Individual plans of course.

Dude! You need to relax a little.. the OP was clearly asking about AT&T, and as soon as someone who is satisfied gives a positive remark it seems you got all hostile. Isn't this about giving honest personal information..?

Yeah things change but not much with Sprint....At least in Hampton roads Va.
Dealing with 7 years of sprint so called 3G waiting for a better tomorrow on their network is a waist of time for me & much of everyone else.
Its been almost a year since I left them and their service has gotten worse in my area so it was a wise move , Dealing with Sprint edge like speeds paying 10.00 less a month takes the smart out of smartphone.

Your at 7 - 8GB of data ? You don't have Wifi at your residents?.
I hit 5GBa month Wifi , ATT Wifi Hotspot , Network data use combined.

Verizon cost less ? That's not what I found.
However I did find that ATT rules the airways in my area though - RootScore Report for Hampton Roads April 2013 | RootMetrics

Its been that way for the most part since 2011 thanks to ATT HSPA+ technology.

Bottom line,
Verizon has a strong network but its bogging down , Their LTE is slower then ATTs and you pay more for it.
More importantly Lets not forget about fallback , When you hit LTE dry patches on networks ATT HSPA+ is 2 - 3 times faster then Verizon 3G

Thing I have no Problems with you looking for opinions.....I did the same exact thing you're looking to do....Move to usable service until Sprint's Network Vision is at or near competition. Because Unlimited LTE on Network Vision will be the real deal, that neither AT&T nor Verizon can touch.

Thing is "cgardnervt" hijacks every thread with his "Life is so much better on AT&T" rhetoric. Sure Sprint's Legacy network is Crap we all know that, but Sprint is also building an all New network, the Legacy network is going bye bye!, so it's not always going to be crappy. It takes time, it's not like AT&T wasn't in Sprint position just as little as 2-3 years ago, when the iPhone cashed AT&T network...So it's not like AT&T was always known for "Stellar Network Quality"......Sprint will rebound just like AT&T did, thing is Sprint is future proofing its network, in that it'll be much easier for Sprint to rollout new technologies like LTE advanced much quicker than either Verizon or AT&T not to mention Sprint will be able to maintain Unlimited and Faster LTE thanks to their vast amounts of spectrum.

Sprint's may be the "Slow network" right now......but that wont be the case for very much longer...If you're someone in a NV area, you're loving your Unlimited LTE speeds, soon that will be ALL of Sprint.

Ask yourself what advantages does AT&T have over Sprint in a Network Vision area....Not One!

Oh I don't blame you.. I am just saying it is changing for some since 7 years ago. :). There are still some people I suggest to switch since their area is bad.

Also I do have wifi at the house but everywhere else I use my data (see below.. That's with 7 days left in billing cycle). I stream music a lot at work and in the car. Also I have LTE mostly around town (see below)... I just wish I could get LTE at work.. It's close but not close enough yet lol.

Lenny I was a big defender of Sprint as you know through out the years but Sprints big time behind. Will they catch up? Not for for a long time.
Before Sprint finally has their LTE network solid Verizon & ATT will have LTE Advanced online for many.
+ Network vision though , When complete That provides better fallback then Verizon has.

yeah that's a lot of data use in my book.
I do the normal everyday email , Dropbox stuff , 45 min browsing , Some Google Nav when needed etc , Tunein radio on the way to work / home & some youtube here and there which get me a tad over 2GB.
Evening home hours consist Wifi for the most part, Podcast downloads etc the heaver stuff.

I was scared S*** less when joining ATT due to cap lol but hey it has worked out for me well.
They warn with text when getting close to 3GB and 10.00 more for ever GB over so I'm good.
Its a small price for me to pay for a functioning smartphone well worth cap

I will admit, you're totally right about the fallback network - HSPA+ AKA Faux G is way faster than Verizon's 3G.

Now as far as who's cheaper, I still say Verizon is cheaper and gives a better deal.

Screen Shot 2013-07-01 at 4.05.14 PM.pngScreen Shot 2013-07-01 at 4.08.09 PM.png

Notice how AT&T wants 120 bucks for 4 GB and unlimited everything, meanwihle verizon wants 110. for 120 you get 4GB of data.

If you only need 2 GB, it's 100 bucks.

120>>100 and 110 last time I checked...

Plan I'm on

2hg9tuf.png

Unlimited mobile to mobile , Free weekends of course , 450 landline minutes with rollover that I will never use lol
The 10.00 protection pack is a must have for me but if it wasn't I could replace that with a extra 1GB over cap making total of 4GB at the cost of 110.00 a month

UPDATE
Wooo just took a look at my bill finding After tax I'm paying 104.00 a month
So if I declined mobile protection my bill would be 90.00.I then go 1GB over 3GB cap which would cost 10.00 = 104.00 tax included & you pay 110.00 + your taxs.
Yep ATT is less expensive.....about 10.00 less.

Does Verizon charge for Wifi Hotspot?
ATT includes it for free in 3GB data plan and above

AT&T is cheaper than Verizon I can also get a 17 percent discount with AT&T . at&t is about 15 to 20 dollars cheaper than Verizon. Into me they have better technology the Verizon they actually have a the largest 4G network if you consider Hspa plus network.

1. No Verizon is cheaper, look at the screen shots I posted above.

2. 119 is not cheaper than 110

3. Um, hpsa+ isn't real 4g, it's faux G. LTE is the real deal and Verizon has the largest network and most reliable

I don't agree with your assumptions for that I have looked at both AT&T and Verizon 6 gig Mobile share data plan which gives unlimited voice and unlimited text but 6 gigs of data Verizon all together is 170 for two phones and at&t is 160 plus I can get a discount 17 percent to be precise which will make my bill AT&T around 151 so yes that is cheaper than Verizon. And to the fact that HSDPA which is HSPA plus is considered 4G now by the International Telecommunications in you in the UK therefore yes is a 4G and yes that means AT&T has the largest 4G network and actually a chance plus is more reliable than Verizon 3G and you fall back on Hspa Plus. when you don't have LTE and HSPA plus it's faster than Verizon store easy with you fall back on if you don't have LTE.

Wow there's a lot of hostility here. If anyone uses the AC forum app you would know that its not trolling when you simply read the unread posts section to see what's up across AC.

I recently left VZ for ATT. On my way to making my switch I tried Sprint again after being gone for 3 years. I must say that in my area Sprint is worse today than it was 3 years ago. My brother has been on Sprint in a different area of the country and he is fed up too. Slow and inconsistent speed and service are the reasons I didn't stick around.

Price wise ATT is cheaper than VZ and not much more than Sprint on a family plan and my corporate discounts. Each person must evaluate on their own based on their needs. I have found that 6 GB is plenty for us, but unlimited minutes are very important. Again, to each his own.

Coverage and service have been very good on ATT, but not as good as VZ. For me the difference in price makes up for the slight difference in coverage, and it is slight.

All in all if you don't need unlimited data and price is reasonably close, you will be much happier on ATT or VZ. Plus there are more phone choices on a GSM network.
