Maybe, maybe not. With the power difference between the Snapdragon and the A11, the iPhone should have won, optimized or not. But even then it only got ahead with slim margins IMO.

Nope. How much faster can you really get?? How much speed do you really need? Sure the processor might be blazingly fast but I doubt that is the bottleneck. You can have gpu, ram, radio, and storage bottlenecks. The issue here is that 95%+ of what you do on every phone made or going to be made is connected to a network. A wireless network that is extremely slow relative to the capabilities of even a budget SoC.

So many iOS fans are saying, wait till they update iOS to fix the slowness. I can almost guarantee that Apple will say you are using it wrong and won't fix it. So many still say its faster because all they have to back themselves is the benchmarks but in real life it isn't faster other than loading games.

I own the 256GB SG 8+ and the 64GB Black Note 8. Between the pair, the iPhone is fastest on day to operations and for what I use it for but the Note 8 has more features that makes it more useful and still VERY fast and fluid. It is 2017 folks...these phones do things fast and there really is no wrong choice. Pick what you prefer and move on. No need to bash other phones.

Nobody's bashing just pointed out facts you Apple folks sure take thing the wrong way. What I saw was the note 8 running much smoother an killing the iph where it counts in ram management. An beating the Apple in simple test . I'm sure you where just gushing over the bench scores of the iph 8 when you saw those number but in real life those numbers don't mean jack . By the way They're just un animated objects phones dont have felling lol

I’ve actually been using Android longer. I am just not deep into either ecosystem so going back and forth is simple. I was just point out what I have noticed using the devices. I could care less about benchmarks. World usage is where it is important. I love my Note 8 and my iPhone 8+. They do what I need and they both do it lightning fast.

Even on those pointless speed test when they say the iPhone is better. Ill still take a Note 8 cause you can open and run two apps at the same time. Something iPhones still can not do. All that power is useless on iOS..
