So what could lg have done better?

I love the G6. But for the G7...

-Snapdragon 836
-Bigger battery
-Dual front facing speakers (the one thing I miss from my Moto X Pure)
-Improve front camera

Those are my 4 main suggestions. That would make the G7 the bee's knees. Love rockin' my G6 though.

I know there are reasons behind this not being done on current iterations (ie, waterproofing); but I'd love to see the G7 with a removable battery.

As you mention, I am sure there are difficulties with having IP68 and removable battery. That's the 1 thing I miss from my G5. But all things considered, if they can increase the mAh, I'd take that with the IP68 and especially dual front facing speakers. Once you have used a phone with that (Moto X Pure), it's REALLY hard to go back. But I am learning to deal with it.

Honestly the only thing I look for as improvement in G6 or other device is longer battery life and a screen I can view in sunlight.

They need to get rid of regional variants and give everyone the same phone. Here in the UK and Europe we only got 32gb, no DAC and no wireless charging...but hey we got ear buds and a cloth

If they had released last year they probably would have had more success. Releasing around the same time as the S8,made it DOA.

They're in a difficult position there tbh. They release slightly earlier than the Galaxy S each year to get a head start but in doing so they have to use the previous years SOC because Samsung have the 1st pick of the latest and greatest. They need to do something extra special to try sway both potential and loyal Galaxy S owners away and that's by no means easy

Not all apps can be put on a memory card. I agree, 32 gigs internal memory is a little low in today's standards.

Apps do not take up that much room. Pics and video do, which can be saved on a card. I've never run out of space on my Nexus 5. However, I upload all the photos I want to keep to my PC, a backup drive and also Flickr. Then, I delete them from the phone. When on Flickr, they are always available to me as well as my Western Digital backup drive. Frankly, I could get along just fine with 16GB. No one can possibly run out of space from apps that they actually use.

Agreed. Unless people really stack up on apps and are om their phones all day

Each person is different on how they use their device. There is a reason 64GB should be an option. I save a lot of files on my device along with pics and videos of my 4 month old twins. 32GB runs out REAL QUICK. While I do understand that there is an SD card slot, sometimes that can be a nuisance and I do not have time to do it.

That said, the LG G6 is a gorgeous device and if Best Buy had it in stock, I'd consider getting it. I never buy my devices directly from Verizon as they are a pain to deal with. Swappa has some good deals so I may snag one from there. I'm just really concerned about the 32GB internal storage.

And some of the features probably don't cost that much too include. At the very least make all models available every where.

Exactly. In the UK we don't even get the V series from LG without buying from importers

Really, I took a screenshot of apps and system memory. Add them up and subtract from 32. Doesn't leave much does it. I even showed the video and audio so you can see I'm using my sd card for that.

Just because you and others don't use your phones potential doesn't mean others don't. My phone is more then a Facebook machine.

Here's mine. I use my phone for work, (2 jobs) and pleasure.. Had it since day one and I hover around 40 percent used. Sometimes down to 25%..

My internal storage is about 30% but my RAM memory about 80% (to about 86%). For me 32GB internal storage is enough but I'm not sure about 4GB RAM. I think 6GB would be more like it for me.
That might be good.. I was thinking the same thing, but that's how android works... It's most capable when the ram is up.

Replace the wee little Sony Exmor IMX258's they used for the dual cams in the back and slap in a pair of IMX378s.

After that, maybe improve the speaker... but the rest of the phone I have no complaints about.
