So what DON'T you like about the GS3?

Things I hate!!!

1. I should be able to adjust my brightness from anywhere on the device. Why is it not in the drop notification bar?
2. There is an awkward spacing between widgets and apps on the main screens. They should be closer with less space.
3. Why didn't they keep ics folders ? The new folders suck
4. Why does it take so long for the task manager to come up after holding home?
5. Why isn't dictation built directly into the keyboard ?
6. Why do games like asphalt 7 , nova3, and spiderman play like crap on the s4 chip
7. Why is there no easy way to edit and enhance video and pictures.
8. Why is there cracking around the plastic back of my phone.
9. Why when I hit gps from the drop menu it doesnt turn on all 3 tabs. I always have to exit and turn those on.
10. Where are the rest of ics wallpapers and live wallpapers from the past
11. S voice not great

BRAVO - and the issues continue to build. I hope this trend continues!!!

I'm not trying to be insightful, but saying that the screen "definitely hard to read outdoors" is like saying that "it does not rain as hard when I'm inside", be real. The screen is barely visible when you are outdoors. You have to use your shadow to even see it. This screen is HORRIBLE. Thank you.

You sound like your crying about something with all your posts to be quite honest. The Iphone has it's issues in the corporate world as well my friend, stop the bs... BB is still being widely used for that very reason. We have the same amount of issues with the Iphone/Androids being used, by well over 10,000+ people we support.. Each has it's strong points, each does have some failures, but none is perfect. Exchange on the Iphone has issues, quite a few.. At the end of the day, if you are buying the equipment for whom ever you represent, go with what works for you and your business, but each phone will have it's issues, that is the moral of the story if your talking about business side use...

Most of my comments about this phone have been removed! Why! I did not say that I did not like the phone, I've pretty much agreed with the sappy reviews that aesthetically the phone is pretty and a jewel, but itt's not what its been hype up to be. Just saying. In my business, same as these reviewers for corporate clients, the iPhone wins hands down, based on quality and performance. Until sammy shapes up and provides a non customized, pure experience like the nexus, hype will be the only way to sell - and we continue to pay a premium for a cheep product.

Not bad if I'm sammy, to get my product sold via forum reviews and reduce the voice of opinion.

Thank you for you honesty. However, you may live in a cave and not seen the imminent demise of BB, bub!! The new corporate direction is BYOD and many companies are looking at these products and ways of securing them to protect their corporate investment. I support and recommend to well over 200K corporate user's world wide and I don't recommend products that DON'T provide a smooth experience. Yes, iPhone has its issues and BB is still widely used, but the industry is changing and cannot afford substandard products being introduced into sensitive environments. The ultimate moral of the store is that products like the SGS3 are being presented as the "NEXT" iPhone, so get your facts straight, therefore the quality of the product should be first and foremost for the cost. And OH YES, when I spend $700 for a product that is slow growing in complaints about performance I do cry, LOUDLY. Thank you Mr/Mrs dumb downed!!!

And I must say, stand up, don't accept SUB-STANDARD and a mod to be your support model. If you must root your phone for it to work as you "expect" then something is wrong!!! Think about it. I don't mode my BMW because it's faulty, its a well engineered machine, I will mod it to be among the elite and accept the fact that I have to "fix or repair daily". So if you mod to be among the elite, go ahead, but those of us that want it to work right, the first time and all the time, are the ones who have to deal with complaining to the OEM and carriers with no respect.

Well one thing I don't like is that when I go to my files in phone it has 2 different sd cards listed, but only one when connected usb... why can I not access phone memory when connected usb? Anyone know. Also can not use different colors for notification led..
On the phone, SD card is the fake internal SD card, and ext SD card is the physical SD card. On the computer, phone is the simulated internal SD card, and SD card is the physical one. The unrooted phone does not have USB mass storage mode. For faster data transfers remove the card from the phone and plug it directly into the computer.

Everyone has a right to their opinion. When you get a phone, you try it out and see if it works best for your individual needs. If it doesn't, you return it and either go on to something else or go back to what you had. Don't keep it.

Obviously everyone's use, and opinion will differ, and there's nothing wrong with that. Just agree to disagree and move on.

Well said!!!

Bluetooth - when connected to audio out does not work properly.
USB - no in car audio streaming, which makes me use the audio out in the first place.
Keyboard - none as good as iPhone. Swiftkey 3 not bad.
Email - can't find an email app as good as iPhone. Tried several including k9, gmail, stock and inomail.

Otherwise I really like it and am happy with my decision to go with it.

My friend, use maildroid. I hate almost all mail apps on android especially stock ones, but Maildroid rocks. Push actually works on this app. I have my iphone (that i use as an ipod now) and my GS3 with maildroid side by side on my home wifi and they both recieve mail at exactly the same time. Works flawlessly for me. Give it a shot. So far its the only one I've found that actually works on droid and I've tried a whole bunch

Nope, none of the (available) third party e-mail or web browsers address my complaints. The app stutter is a Touchwiz issue so you'd need to flash a different ROM to get rid of it.

Why would you have to flash a ROM? Just use a different launcher.

For some reason I couldn't find that app in the play store. I didn't get any results, but I googled (how android is better reason 63589076435 - you can download whatever you want not just from the market) it so I'm going to try it out because I too was interested in a different email app.

Well unfortunately you fail to see the point. As consumers we once had a say about that did not work, but now, we are comfortable in accepting less for more or should I say, crap for more money. If you purchased a home and after three weeks of living in it, none of the windows would open, would you cut another hole in a wall to let air in ? NO, so why must we pay these exorbitant prices for something that DOES not live up to they hype.

Take for example the drum beat up to the S3, every forum, include AC chimed in on how sleek it is, the size of the screen the out of the box performance. NONE NOT ONE took the challenge to be a real consumer evaluator for the product, instead, they took the path, as usual, of least resistence, like the main stream media and sold the product for the vendor in their half baked reviews.

Yes, sammy invested money in the design and all that, but a POS is just that regardless of the cost and for those of us that utilize these devices for business, it's not a game, its real life and money and if my productivity drops due to faulty bt, wifi, call connection, lag, what recourse do I have, ROOT, sorry. Unfortunately, rooting has become the defacto OUT for sammy and other vendors but has no place in the real world, while in fact, those of us that use these devices to make a living, continue to be at the mercy of the OEM and carriers as they continue to wash their hands of producing AND supporting a device that works. Quality in a product is measurable, and they are not meeting the bar..

if a phone was that important to my productivity, id have waited for actual customer reviews

So why did we pay so much for the phone. They should have just avoided the bloatware and said find your own app. Cop-out!!!

ive used android for years so i knew what to expect, i know what 3rd party apps are good replacements for the stock ones and i bought the phone for its hardware... nothing more ;)

the guy u quoted wasnt refering to the s3 screen lol ;)

I wish the phone was thicker, holding the phone can be difficult.

Wireless calling funks out on me from time to time. Though to be honest, I did root almost as soon as I got it... because TMo wanted to charge me to tether, for the little I wanted to use it.

I don't like the position of the volume rocker being directly across from the power. Makes it a pain in the area when using with one hand and your thumb is pressing one button while your finger is pressing another. The rockers is almost too flush or small. Sometimes I'm turning the phone up when trying to turn it down. Just use to 2 separate buttons.
