The only model that looks noticeably different is the GW5 Pro.

I like it, but I'm not upgrading unless Samsung gives us a huge trade in credit for our GW4's. I know not all the specs and details have been released yet, but so far I don't think there's going to be enough difference between that and my 46mm GW4 Classic

I only upgraded to this one because it was making the jump from Tizen to Wear OS

I figured all the good developers would obviously be looking forward and I didn't want to be left in the cold twice.

I've also been running Beta on my GW4 Classic and so far, software wise, nothing noticable has changed.

I probably will, but I never make these decisions until the device is actually announced.

In my opinion, rumours and leaks are basically worthless.

Well, if there isn't a model with a rotating bezel then I definitely won't upgrade.

But I bet there will be.

It wouldn't surprise me either.

I do not like bezel-less watches such as the active line. IMO, a bezel makes it look more like a watch, instead of a fitness device. I don't need it to rotate (currently have GW3 and rarely rotate the bezel), but I like the looks of a bezel and the added protection it gives on the sides.

The potential for better battery life on the 5 pro is probably the only thing that would tempt me. I would miss the rotating bezel though.
The pixel watch will be releasing around the same time frame, and the Fitbit integration on that will be really tempting. Battery life is probably going to be pretty poor there though.

Hopefully the app eco system will improve. As it stands it’s completely trash when juxtaposed to the Apple Watch.
When I started using my GW3's after the AW7 the contrast was stark and I felt like I journeyed back in time when the world was young and tech was new. Now, using my GW3's, I'm satisfied. When they die I'll prolly upgrade to whatever the contemporary GW is. I am interested to see the new GW5 and it's reviews.

Same here, only reason I upgraded from my Active 2 to the watch 4 x 40mm was the good trade in offer and I had only paid $160 for my Active 2 open box at BB and sold my previous Galaxy Watch for a $100 bucks. In the end my watch 4 only cost me $60 bucks. My husband his Galaxy watch 3 trade in still cost him a bit for the 4 classic big one but we're both fine with what we have and I don't see us upgrading neither. But I am like you if the trade in was significant I guess I would want the latest but I am not planning on it. I love this watch.

I do not really feel the desire to upgrade from my GW3. I'm not a power watch user...whatever that might be. I'm happy with the features that the GW3 provides & don't have to deal with Google Assistant since the GW3 is running Tizen.
:D

Edit:
Hah! Definitely not a power user
Looked at my wrist just now & realized I left GW3 at home on my dresser.

:D :D

If the GW5 Pro really has an 80-hour battery, I'll most likely upgrade. The GW4 Classic I have now is virtually unusable on my long hikes because it drains only after a few hours with a hiking exercise running. I need a watch that will really last thru a 7-8 hour hike and still have a lot of juice left.

I will likely update for the battery as well. I use several (non-Samsung Health) apps for health tracking (water, blood glucose entry, etc) and I could use a longer battery life for those reasons alone.

So if they do claim 80 hours, we should get 48... Be interesting to see what the standard battery claim is, because the Pro is a pretty big upsell just for the battery if the leaked prices are accurate.

The watch 3 is actually a better experience in my opinion if you don't need or want the improvements from the 4.
