so, who's jumping ship to the S22 Ultra?

Not this time for me. I have the S21 Ultra and the Tab 7+ and they're great. I'm not looking for a Note and honestly the specs on the S22 are pretty underwhelming by comparison. But certainly happy for all those looking for Note upgrade. Believe me I tried hard to convince myself and this is my first time on the sidelines in many years at a launch.

Ordered the unlocked S22 Ultra 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage in Phantom Black yesterday. Trading in my S21 Ultra.

I ordered the S22 plus and Tab S8 both 256gb. I'll be paying the same amount per month on both that I'm paying on my S22 ultra. I'm looking forward to a flat screen again. 6.6" vs 6.8" will barely be a noticeable difference.

I'm keeping my S21U for at least another year, maybe longer. I'm quite happy with it and I don't feel the need to switch to something else just because it is a newer model number.

My reasoning for switching phones this way for the past three years, paying it off selling it and buying the newest flagship, is because I've already budgeted a certain amount per month for a phone and if I can pay the same amount while having a new device, it makes it worth it to me. However I do plan on keeping my Tab S8 for as long as I can. Hopefully 3-4 years. Getting so much money off on it was the main reason I upgraded this year. Otherwise I would keep my S21 Ultra. I really wanted a Tablet. I was about to buy a used Tab S7 on ebay then I saw the crazy deals on Samsung and couldn't resist jumping on them.

I mightily tried to get the S22U on launch day but Sammy's sight kept crashing...I know I can get it now but perhaps it wasn't meant to be...my S21U is a beast especially when traveling and at concerts as it's pictures and videos are astonishing...not worth the minor upgrade as I don't use the S-Pen and I'm turned off by the S22U Note boxy design...I'll sit this one out though it's tough to do!

MEEEEE!!

I'm jumping from an iPhone 13 Pro. Can't wait.
I pre-ordered the S21 Ultra last year and loved it. I returned it with a heavy heart because as fabulous as the phone was, the Watch 3 just couldn't compete with the Apple Watch and there are several things I rely on that for.

No such concerns now that the Watch 4 runs Wear OS. Super excited!

I thought about it but the s21ultra does everything I want already. Plus i cracked the screen recently on it so I won't get as much trade in.

I'm trying to decide if I want to upgrade to the Plus or the Ultra from my S21 Ultra. The S21 Ultra is about as big as I'd ever want to to, and the S22 Ultra is even bigger. I don't know yet want I should do.

I am going from the S21 Ultra to the S22 plus. I'm looking forward to a flat screen again. It's only .2" smaller than the ultra. I just didn't like the tall look and curved edges and the squared off screen on the ultra. Also, my S21 Ultra feels like a brick compared to the S22 plus. At least you have 14 days to decide if you like it. I'd make a decision before the pre-order promotions are gone and they are out of stock. I didn't care about the extra camera or bigger battery. You're going to get 95% of the features on the plus. I ordered the Tab S8 as well so I will have that for the s pen. I also wanted to have a tablet so I'm not constantly staring at a phone screen and straining my eyes. I figure the bigger the screen, the less strain it will have on my eyes when consuming content, reading or playing games. I thought having the S21 Ultra would be good enough for me, but it hasn't been. It's been a great phone though.

I really didn't want to upgrade, but for $350 plus $250 in store credit, why not I guess

Actually it's already $260 with cashback ;)

I have a couple of cases and accessories for the S21U I won't needing anymore. Hit me up if interested.

Very happy with the S21U at the moment and see no reason to upgrade. I do like how there's some improvement in the S22U's camera detail and night shots, but I imagine it'll be even better by the time the S23 or S24 comes out. Otherwise, I'm content with trying to hold onto this phone for another year or two!
