So who's jumping to the Nexus 4?

Just ordered the GN2 and I will get the Nexus 4 when it's released. The loser will be sold or returned

I'm very tempted to switch out my new S3 for the Nexus 4, slighter smaller, latest update, etc. But I store a hell lot of music and videos and 16 gb is not gonna suffice. And I'm still very satisfied with my experience with the S3, even though I'd prefer a stock feel of the interface (but got that covered with Nova launcher). So.. the Nexus 4 has got to wait. :)

U can even install a aosp jb rom to get the nexus feel that's what I did because I was used to vanilla Android coming from a ns4g

Want to get it. Have s3 listed and already have numerous people interested. It's just convincing my wife that I want ANOTHER phone will be the hard part. Even though I pay a dime for it after selling my s3. The s3 is a month old, and I hear the hitching about my phone fettish quite often.

I'm about 90% sure I'll be jumping ship from Verizon to get in on the unlocked Nexus goodness. However, Verizon is making it harder for me to decide because they just extended LTE coverage to the area where I work so now I can take full advantage both at home and work. But the prospects of having the latest update straight from Google, and being no longer tied to a carrier are benefits too large to ignore as well.

If you are grandfathered into unlimited 4G then keep it, if not then what is 1GB of super fast speeds gonna do for you?

I will be glad to get rid of this HTC One X. It's my first Android phone, love the OS, hate this phone. Bought an N7 and won't go back to anything but vanilla.

Not jumping, adding. Going to separate my work phone from personal. Keeping the Verizon Galaxy Nexus (they pay it but I can't root it) and I will have the Nexus 4 on a $30/mo prepaid for myself on my dime.

Decision made today, selling the family jewels and ordering the 4 on day one. Three months before upgrade. I'll see what's available then and decide what to keep.

My GS2 contract with TMobile ended on October 31st so I've picked up a Three 12 month SIM only contract - 200 mins, 5000 texts and unlimited data for ?9.90 a month with ?43 cashback. Works out at ?6.31 per month :p

Hopefully ordering my N4 at midnight on the 13th :)

I was planning on dropping Verizon and going with AT&T (VZW and AT&T are my only two choices at work). I really want the Nexus 4 and would have been fine dropping down to HSPA+ speeds on AT&T from my VZW LTE. Unfortunately AT&T's service is just terrible everywhere I usually am. I need my phone to work as a phone when I'm home. I borrowed my buddy's iPhone 4S on AT&T and brought it to my house. I couldn't get anything better than 1 bar of service and speedtest was 0.25mb down an 0.10 up. With Verizon I always have 3-4 bars and between 5-9mb down and 3-7 up. I probably would have even done with the horrid data speeds if I would have just been able to make calls.

I guess I will have to hope Verizon gets another Nexus someday or I will be with my GNex for a very long time.

New to the forums and first post, I've been doing a lot of reading here lately. I am a long time iOS/ iPhone guy, but even more deeply rooted n the Google ecosystem. I have always liked the Android platform (both my kids have Android phones) but been put off by carrier control over updates. After trying both and opting for the Nexus 7 over an iPad I am well and truly hooked and will be ordering the Nexus 4 on day 1. Goodbye to iOS, iTunes and my iPhone 4!

I do have some concern with the 16GB memory limitation but I have survived just fine with the same on my iPhone, so I am sure I can make it work just fine.

These forums have been a great help in making the switch and letting me climb out of the "walled garden".

I've been on Verizon for years (now with dreadful Bionic) and since my contract does end for a couple more months, I'm not entirely "jumping ship" just yet to TMobile or ST/AT&T, but already received my TMobile microsim to try it on their $30 unlimited plan this week. I'm driving about 8-10hr drives for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so this is the perfect time to "test" out TMobile around home/work and on the road. I'm crossing my fingers all works fine and then I will formally ditch VZW once and for all and save about $40/month easy :)
