OKay, So this maybe a little too involved, but I want to make sure I get everything out so that I can know if I am screwed or not.

Couple of days ago I rooted my phone and added the lag fix with the auto installer for voodoo. I installed a few programs from the market place for rooted phones and was tweaking them. One was specifically for the Fascinate and helping with Rooting, lagfix, changing homescreen, battery icon and so forth. The only one that I did was trying to change the battery Icon, well as soon as I did this my phone restarted but would not go bass the Samsung power logo no matter what I did. I went into Recovery, Update, and into CW Recovery and tried various things and it would not fix it. I finally went into CW Recovery and did Format: System, Kernal, SD Card and lost pretty much everything. Then went into Odin and pushed one of the stock system and kernals that I found in the forums. Now that I am here I can get into my phone again, but I can't seem to get it to retain any save information. I now longer have CW Recovery on my phone so that I can use it and install the kernal update again. I can't go into the Market place and install programs w/o it saying there is no space. It also after every reboot goes into the first time boot, asking language, sync information for Facebook, and GMail...... My question is how do I fix the saving issue. I can push things to my SD Card when it is connected to the computer, and I can still use the download screen. But Cannot install any apps from the market place.

Any help in advance is greatly appreciated.

Info on my phone:

Hardware Version: SCH-I500
Firmware: 2.1 - Update
Baseband Version: S:i500.04 V.DI01
Kernal Version: 2.6.29
Build Number: SCH-I500.DH12

I"ve looked at my SD Card and it doesn't say Voodoo anywhere.... If this is the culprit... how do I reinstall if I can't load CW Recovery w/o Rom Manager?

Never, ever flash anything over voodoo without removing it first! Go to the XDA forums and find the thread on "how to completely remove voodoo" and follow the steps.

Thank you for the info, the problem is that it asks me to use CWM and I can't install anything, so how do I get CWM back?

I have never messed with voodoo, so I can't say for sure... Try going into IRC, you should be able to get all the help you need there.

webchat.freenode.net

Thanks again for the help, I'm never flashing like that again, I just kind of panicked.... I'll be sure to be more pantient next time, and I can't wait to get back up and running to try out different roms.

Question: Have you tried booting into CWM?

Power down, hold both volume buttons down while powering back on. You should be in stock recovery. Scroll down to "apply:update.zip", and this should take you into CWM.

Yes, when I try it says the following:

E:Failed to open /sdcard/update.zip ( no such file or directory)
E: Signature Verification failed
Installation aborted.

Do I need to update the update.zip back on the SDcard for it to work?

Just reread and saw you formatted the SD... did you happen to save the update.zip somewhere else before you formatted? If you have it, put it back on the SD card, and that should get you back into CWM

I'm not sure that I did, but I'll see if I can find it... if not, is there a way I can download one like it, and put it in place?

I did that via Odin, but it doesn't seem to recognize it.... is there something else that I need to do? If I go into my files I can see it listed but can't do anything with it. I try going into recovery and it did the above when trying to run update. I'm missing Update.zip for it to work I believe.

Thank you! I will give that a try when I get home... I'm at work at the moment and not sure if I email it myself if it will download the file or not.

Do you have a screen shot of the theme that you have on your fascinate... I think I'm going to give the stupid fast kernal a shot next time around instead of voodoo. Thoughts?

So I reinstalled cmw and voodoo kernel... and now some of my old stuff came back and is causing force closes and boggind down my phone..... do I try to remove voodoo?
