I was running viper Rom 1.3 and tried flashing the newest Elemental kernel. After hitting reboot, my phone went through all the normal procedures but wouldn't load any homescreens and it won't pick up any wifi or cellular data.. I can pull down the notification tray and see all the quick toggles that come with the Rom and go to settings and then after that, I can see the app tray button and all my docked apps and apps on my homescreen. It'll stay on for about 30 seconds and then it reboots to do the same thing. When i try to go to recovery it reboots the bootloader and same thing with Factory reset. I had the latest twrp recovery installed when all of this happened and now it seems like I don't have a recovery anymore. Also, my computer recognizes my phone as a disk drive when it boots regularly but once in the bootloader, it seems to not mount at all. If I go to "fastboot" it only says fastboot until I press "volume Up" or "down" and then it'll say "fastboot usb" but my computer stil does not recognizes it so I cant work through ADB to manually boot to recovery. I got this phone a week ago so any help is much appreciated. I'm very familiar with rooting and putting custom roms on android phones (specifically HTC phone) but I've never come across this problem before.

Wow you might be screwed looks like something you flashed hoses your recovery somehow let me do some searching and I'll update this post with my findings. Where did you get the kernel from?

try and get a data connection through bluetooth and then use goo manager to flash recovery?
really sounds like you flashed a gsm kernel but I don't know much about elemental.

I was thinking the same thing. You may want to update your drivers then try to run a ruu if you can get that to work.

It's been fixed. I was using a windows 8 computer when trying to restore my phone back to stock. A friend of mine had a windows 7 computer and it worked like a charm. Just another reason for me to not use windows 8.

Hey man, I would really appreciate some help with this, My sister just got the htc one and I wiped everything, and I cannot get it to show up on my pc with access to the memory so I can put on a rom of any sort.

I have run into a problem with my HTC One. I flashed trickdroid 7.5.0 from trickdroid 5 without a clean Android 4.2.2. I overlooked the warning to flash 4.2.2 before upgrading trickdroid from 4.1.2 and now boot hangs and HTC white screen and i CANNOT open TWRp Recovery from fastboot menu. Also, ADB and AIO cannot recognize my phone from the fastboot or hboot screens, and i dont even remember if i had switched USB debugging correctly. I believe i have bricked. Tried many things, but i believe i should still be able to recover. please help.

Have you tried a RUU? adb is used in recovery or when the phone is booted. if you can get to the bootloader you are not bricked.
