Soft Card discontinued...?

Got the email that Soft Card is being discontinued & rolled into Google Wallet effective last day of March. I wonder if Verizon will enable removal of the "dead" app since they are the provider?

It'll probably be either removed or disablable when they deliver the lollipop update or a future OTA. Until then it can't really be removed.

That's my guess (or, my hope) as well.
