Software Improvements Desired

What software improvements do you want to see in the upcoming Axon 7 updates?

Me:

- Option to not have notification bell on lock screen. Just show the notifications.
- Unlock the FM radio that the 820 Snapdragon I believe is capable of receiving
- Add a search function in the music app so I can find a song easy
- Make Calendar location addresses clickable so they open in Google Maps
- Make the search function in Calendar search all of the calendar. None of that extra click to search events before a certain date. Samsung got rid of that dang thing and that was for the better.
- Make the calculator a separate app
- Allow both call and text blocking like I used to be able to do on my Note 5
- All current Android security updates
- Allow at least five icons across and down on the home screen and in the dock
- Make an option so when I open Settings it doesn't necessarily go to most-used. I just want it to open to all the settings.

- Bring back standard android ability to have multiple accounts on one phone.

- Allow editing info in lock screen so can add contact info in case phone is misplaced or lost.

- If you're gonna have the blasted bell make it work right. I run weather app and GSam battery and because of one of them the bell always has red dot.

- Allow us to modify the status bar more, especially the god awful color.

- Turn off text messaging notification vibration when on phone call.

About the status bar color, I just discovered that it varies depending on the wallpaper used, I was used to a color I liked, I don't remember if it was the stock color, but I liked it, and as soon as i changed the wallpaper this morning I realized that the status bar color changed and this one is fugly. Considering to change the wallpaper (That I love BTW) just to get the other color back.

Thanks for the advice. I will take a look at that. Funny thing is I thought I was crazy that I remembered it having been a different color at one time. Guess not!

Could you clarify what you mean by "ability to have multiple accounts on one phone"? Does that mean if I have more than one Google account (which I do), I can only use one or the other? Because I use one for my Play Store purchases, but have my Play Music account on another. If I can't have both in use at once, I need to cancel my pre-order tonight.

You can have multiple gmail accounts and use both but you can't set up a completely separate user account like you can do in most Android phones. I would set up a separate account for my youngest son. So yes, meant multiple users with their own apps/setting on phones. Other ZTE phones have this feature but not the Axon 7.

..this feels like a tablet feature that most smartphones ignore.

It is, most smartphones don't have multi user capability, or just leave in a "guest mode" for when someone wants to borrow it to run an app (good for handing it to your kids to play with).

Well the question is, will it be a update that will fix most if not a the current problems people seem to have right now

Well we just got September's Security Patch in this weeks update along with some under the hood fixes.
