More than likely it is just a security update.

If you are referring to the PF2 build, it is on exactly the same old changelist # as the previous two releases, PE1 & PD2. All three are #7722939 and this is just a Google security update. See...

Samsung Galaxy S7 Software Update

Verizon rarely do actual firmware updates for their models. The Samsung issued Global models are already on changelist #8252943

Hey guys, I did this update this morning and now I'm having some pretty significant issues. Certain apps are unable to connect to the internet, such as google play and Opera mini. Any idea how this update affected my phone in this way, and how I can fix or uninstall the update? Thanks

First, try wiping the phone's cache partition... something that should be done after any update, and see if that helps.

I just tried wiping the cache the instructions from the video and the problems still persist. I can't add my google account back (I tried removing it) because it says I can't communicate with the google servers. Thanks for your help

I don't know how to revert an update. Mine is working fine and seems maybe even battery is better after the last update made a significantly bad change in battery life.

You probably should look up the instructions for how to clear the cache and do that a couple times then see what happens. First go into STORAGE in settings and find 'clear cached data' or similar.

After that clear the other cache. I don't know the name for it...system or something. This may be enough or you may need to find better instructions...

1) Turn off phone.
2) Press Volume UP, Home and Screen toggle at the same time.
3) Let up as soon as you see blue. It will say "installing system update" for a few seconds. It isn't. Then it'll show a dead android THEN
4) a blue menu list offers choices. Choose clear cache or clear system cache. The one that says cache.
5)In this version it asks for confirmation. Choose "yes" then reboot.

Just make sure you don't factory data reset it. Thank God they have made that harder now. I did it by accident twice last year.

Do these both twice just for the heck of it. It seems to clear up a lot of problems. Good luck.
