At this point we are in a real loop when it comes to 2.1 cause i don't really see it happening for us on 22nd but we can only hope...

Not going to happen... Thousands of devices pulling the same update down at the same time could cause the server stress or might even cause the server to crash.

Two people around me just got the 2.1 update late lastnight.
So I guess it will be delivered the same way as 2.0.1 was.
If I were to get it before days end, it would be a great start to a perfect weekend.

Just found out that one of the "said" persons had a rooted version of 2.1 (frickinhopebustinbastage)!!
So... I'm going to go off on an limb and say that his buddy's 2.1 was rooted as well.

i dont think we should even get excited until we get an official announcement. I could be wrong, but 2.1 has some UI changes and other stuff that they'd definitely want to release an announcement about. My guess is sometime in february.

I saw this just a couple of minutes ago. If that is in fact completely accurate then what is up with the second flow of 2.0.1?

Maybe they haven't been pushing out the OTA update, seeing as some people may have never got it, maybe they aren't getting it till now?

the OTA update was a minor fix for those people who had their devices flashed at Verizon stores (ie: me). I guess the version put out to Verizon stores, had some issues with it-so they repatched it and sent it back out.

so if you got a new device that was flashed in a verizon store by a friendly neighborhood flextronics tech (ie: me), than you probably got the update.
