I selected to check for updates just for the hell of it obviously there are none but now it brings up a window everyday that u can check again in so n so hrs and minutes is there a way to shut that off? I don't need it to check every single day on its own I just thought it was gonna be a one time deal

Same happened to me for a couple of days, but I haven't seen that popup again since. Maybe it stops after a little while? I don't really know lol.

Ironically, we'll need to get a software update to resolve it.

That's only saying that you can't check for 24 hours manually once you checked manually, so you don't overload there servers which is crap.
