Kenya got their S22 March update today. Really hoping the U.S. and Canada get their updates soon.

AVC8 (with March 1 security level) is out now for Comcast S22 Ultras (see Frija or Sammobile.com). If things progress as usual, other US carriers, along with unlocked phones, will have the update within the next week or so.

Up until today whenever I checked, my phone has said it was up to date with latest software. This morning it tells me an update is available as shown below. It says January security patch dated 2/09/2022. I would have thought that would have been available for my phone before today?

Verizon released the March update to the S22 line of phones this morning. Hopefully the unlocked models get it soon.

Not yet. Will when back in on Wi-Fi. Does it make sense that my phone would just now middle of March be getting a January update?

Verizon released the March update to the S22 line of phones this morning. Hopefully the unlocked models get it soon.

So does what I got notified of on my Verizon S22 Ultra this morning, (just above) look like "the March update"? It says it is a January patch released on 2/09/2022? Why would it just be coming to my phone a month and a half later?

That's the AVA6 firmware, which came with the phone. What firmware version did your phone have before you installed today's update?

OK. Just got into Wi-Fi. The version on the phone now is: SP1A.210812.016.S908USQU1AVA6. And what I am being notified to install this morning is what is shown above in post #89: SP1A.210812.016.S908USQU1AVA6.

edit: Just corrected the above. Seems like the two versions are the same? Why would it be shown as having to install an update if that is the case? All I can think of is that the notification is really for an update, but the Verizon notification is showing the incorrect version #. I suppose I can just go ahead and install it and see if the version number on the phone changes to something else.

edit 2: I am thinking that Verizon notice is wrong. Downloading and installing now and will report back on whether the version on the phone changes.

The notice from Verizon still showed the old version number. But when I actually downloaded and installed the update the version on my phone changed from SP1A.210812.016.S908USQU1AVA6 to SP1A.210812.016.S908USQU1AVC8

As of about twenty minutes ago, several people are reporting receiving the update on their unlocked S22 devices. Saw one on the T-Mobile network.

Can anyone confirm they've received the on their unlocked S22 device?
