After the update, my gmail accounts and more importantly my AirBNB app, are not pushing notifications to my phone. It's a NIGHTMARE because I'm constantly having to refresh them manually. Any idea on how to remedy this? I already wiped the cache, but it didn't help.

When you say you have already, "wiped the cache", do you mean the apps cache, as per #1.5 of S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide, or the phone's cache partition as per #1.3 of the guide. All else fails, there is always a Factory Data Reset, as per post #2 of the guide.

I followed the instructions on 1.3. Should I do 1.5 as well? (I am NOT a phone techy person!)

I did uninstall and reinstall Airbnb yesterday- didn't help.

That didn't fix it. Is there anyway to uninstall this stupid update? It's seriously affecting my business.

As mentioned above, it is not a firmware update but merely a security patch from Verizon, You could download and flash your previous firmware as per #1.11 of 42 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide or Factory Data Reset. I would recommend the latter as if you do downgrade, Verizon will only push the update on to your phone again anyway.

First, take 5...and breathe. Backup *everything* and factory reset your phone. Try to not install all the apps when the phone reboots. Good luck!
