[Solved] - Hangouts on AOD

Sorry if this is a duplicate post but I did try searching for it without any luck.

My girlfriend and I use Hangouts as our primary messaging app. It is really annoying that Hangouts notifications do not appear on the AOD, well at least not for me.

Has anyone been able to get Hangouts notifications on the AOD? Might have to switch to Allo because I'm pretty sure I do get those.

Hell, fricken Bumble message notifications would show on the AOD back when I was still using that app.

I am and I figured it out. I meant to come back her and delete the post or mark it solved. I thought I had made a choice in the AOD notifications settings ("Hide content" or "Do not show notifications"). I didn't realize you had to choose hide content to show the icon (seems counter intuitive). My coworker has an S8 and get's Hangouts notifications on her lock screen so I knew it had to work on the S7.
