[SOLVED] Lg l33l phone- lollipop 5.0.1- find my device no longer finds it

[Android Central Question]

This started this morning. I went to track my phone using Find My Device (google android or whatever it's called)

I get the map and it says "before you can use Find My Device, you must have an active android device".

I have no idea what is going wrong here. It finds my device on the same App that is on the device. Thanks.

OK....It seems I was in regular settings and not "google settings" where I found it.

Hmm. I'm not sure what to try next, short of a factory reset.:-\

I was going to reset the phone this morning. Before I started, I checked the map. It's showing - it said it was seen 7 minutes ago. Now this is what shows. Strange, right?

(PS still can't get on this site unless on computer- is there a fix for that?)

You're having problems getting onto the forums website on your mobile browser? Or on one of the Android Central apps?

yes, problems getting into forums website (here) using mobile browser on iPad (Safari) but yesterday I couldn't get in on my iMac, either (also Safari)

I'm sure App doesn't work with Apple.

BTW. Ordered a new LG phone - will be bothering you more tomorrow. Is there a way for me to mark this as solved because apparently everything you told me helped.

Hmm, it could certainly be some glitch with the Apple version of the app. Post about it here and hopefully one of the higher-ups will see it: https://forums.androidcentral.com/android-central-apps/

We don't typically mark threads solved, but I can do it easily ...
