Hello,
I tried rebooting and it has been two days trying to update.
I am on December update.

Anything I can do?

Re: Stuck on Android System WebView update

Where are you trying to update and seeing this message? Is this via the Play store?

Re: Stuck on Android System WebView update

The Webview update has been giving occasional problems for some people after Android 10. Usually the way to fix it is going to settings - apps - Play Store - force stop - clear cache. Also, sometimes the update gets stuck when there are other updates pending, specially for Chrome. Make sure that Play store auto updates are disabled, stop any running update and manually update all the apps but the System Webview. Only when they are finished try to update it again.

Yes, Play Store. Will try Javier P suggestion

Sometimes when you get an update for the Webview it goes in two stages, first it's installed again and then updated. Weird, I know.

Re: Stuck on Android System WebView update

force stop - clear cache did not work, still shows installing

Re: Stuck on Android System WebView update

As soon as I force stop and go to Play Store, it shows installing.

I mean stopping from Google Play, not the settings. There should be an "X" symbol or something similar.

Also, you could try clearing cache and data for the Download Manager.

Re: Stuck on Android System WebView update

From Play store app, I see no X to stop install.

Re: Stuck on Android System WebView update

Thank you

Delete all data from google play store and restart your cell phone.
This worked for me.

Excellent. Glad you managed to fix the problem and thanks for the follow up.

I always keep auto update off anyway, but I've just learned to update system webview and chrome individually and separate from each other and everything else. This seems to be an Android 10/pixel specific issue.
