Hello guys,
New phone > select data to transfer
On your old phone, unlock Secure Folder & select content to copy

So, I Enter PIN in the A50. I get >

SECURE FOLDER

Contacts

Calendars

Photos

Videos

Music

Documents

All the above greyed out.

Apps (tick)

Secure folder settings (tick)

Done

Secure Folder Password.

Remember this password. You’ll need it to bring your Secure Folder data to a new phone or tablet.

This password can’t be recovered.

Your password must contain at least 6 characters, including at least 1 letter.

Please see attachment from A16

Thank you.

But now the A50 keypad has letters & numbers, so I cannot use numbers only.

Not sure what the question is here, but if it's about setting the password, then yes, a PIN will not do in this case. You'll need an alphanumeric password set on the A50 Secure Folder first before it can be transferred to the A16 (once transferred, to decrypt the backup/transfer onto the new phone, you'll need the same password that was set on the A50).

Thank you.

After much patience and rechecking, I have completed the process and swapped over the SIM card.

Much appreciation for the site' s valuable input.

Glad you got it working! I marked this as solved and moved it from the Android 14 forum to the Galaxy A Series forum.
