Question [SOLVED] Usb use with A9 + tablet

Hello all,
I am relatively new ish to Android and I have a Samsung galaxy A9+ tablet with Android 14 installed, some help and advice please.
I want to transfere music files along with some photoson to an external usb stick, it will read the plugged in usb but will not let me write too it, my on line research tells me to Set USB Mode: Swipe down from the Notification bar and select the Android System notification. Choose "Transferring files" or "Transferring images" to configure the USB mode for file transfers.
This transfering files option is not there. The usb drive I used was from my windows system and as I said above it reads it ok showing its contents, having been playing about for quite a while now I am at a loss . Some help and advice please.

Problem solved, usb needed to be formatted correctly.

Yes it took me long enough, what confused me was that it would read one of my Windows usb but it would not let me write too it. I stll can't work it how to format usb 's in my galaxy tablet though.
