Some Notifications Will Ding & Some Won't

Some notification will make the watch ding such as texts and Facebook, but CNN and Aquamail just display the notification on the watch silently. The screen will light up and thats how I know. Any idea on this one?

I think it inherits the settings of the app. So if the notification vibrates your phone then it will vibrate the watch.
