Some of my bluetooth devices no longer connect

[Android Central Question]

I have a garmin watch that has been connected via bluetooth to my phone for months. The battery went dead in the watch and it disappeared from my available devices in my phone;s bluetooth screen. I unpaired, and re-paired in the garmin connect app and it keeps saying pairing failed. But it 's showing up in paired devices on my phone.
The reason I'm thinking it's a phone issue is because I have another device I've been using for weeks that quit connecting on my phone and now it no longer shows up in available devices.

Welcome to Android Central! When you say you unpaired, do you mean you went to Settings>Bluetooth, selected the Garmin watch there, then Forget Device?
