Some people can not text me.. WHY?

Hi, I have used Straight talk for a year and a half or so now I had a Iphone 4 and dropped it in the toilet so needless to say its no good. I needed a new phone so I bought a LGL31L directly from them. I recived it and many people could not text me. I returned the phone and bought the same phone from walmart. I got it today and it has the same exact issues. My father has the same phone himself and the people who can not text me CAN text him. I have talked for hours with the people from straight talk and they just repeat their programed answers and eventually just tell me everything is fine on my end after trouble shooting my phone. Can someone please help me here. I have been back and forth on this for over 3 weeks and I have no clue what else to do. Thank you.

Did you keep the same number? You probably need to disable iMessage.

I did, how do I disable iMessage? I can not get the Iphone to turn on.

I called apple to have them disable it... ill find out if it worked in "upto" 24 hours lol... Thanks for the help
