Some recent update has more than tripled my battery drain on my Infuse 4G

I use my Galaxy Express Prime 2 very little and have been lasting almost a week before needing a recharge. Now it's like 2 plus days. The power use after 2 days shows a few apps at a few percent with Android itself taking the most at like 14%. Nothing is standing out.

If I go into max power saving mode it says it will last like 7 days but I don't want that dark theme that takes away all my app icons. How do I engage the speed limiter without the dark theme and why do I need to now?

More information. The Max power save mode says it will add 5 more days but it FORCES me into Dark Theme which I do not want. Mid mode says it's CPU limiting to 70% and Max says it will do 60% and save a TON of battery life. I want to try that but not lose all my apps in Dark Theme.

My battery is down 15% in like 7 hours and usage shows 32 m of screen for 1%, Android System for 1% and Device idle for 6 h 48 m for another 1%. Where did the other 12% go??? I have rebooted twice and I noticed the first reboot cost 5%. Makes no sense.

I ordered a couple new batteries, hoping maybe my battery is worn out, but I hardly have used the phone over the last year or two.
