Some songs need internet connection to play on Google Play

This is weird. I just transferred my songs from my SD card of my old Samsung Galaxy S4 to my new SD card of my Turbo 2 and when in airplane mode, about half the songs are grayed out and say that an internet connection is required to play. However these very same songs played just fine in airplane mode on my old phone. Any ideas guys?

Open Google Play Music, swipe in from the left, and turn the Downloaded Only switch on. Do you see the songs now?

Yes, except the songs grayed out are my songs, previously downloaded! Why would Google play require an internet connection to play them?

I've had issues with google play music in the past. Go into settings>apps>downloaded>google play music and click on Clear Data. that will only clear out the settings, it wont delete music. Then go back into play music, and go through the setup screens, select download only, and your music/playlists will get repopulated.
