On my homescreen there is a blue tab that is like a shortcut to apps.It's driving me crazy. everywhere I try to move it,it's in the way of something else.Does anybody know how to get rid of it?

Sounds like the multi view tab. Disable it by clicking the button in the top pulldown menu or by going to SETTINGS > DISPLAY > uncheck multiview.

Hold the back button for about 2 seconds. It will reappear.

You can also press your finger on the tab for about 2 seconds, then you can slide it up or down to get it out of the way.
