I'm over this phone and it's battery life. It drains while in pocket and overheats. It actually burned my pants lol

Looks like you have to factory reset so you don't need to buy a new phone.

First to do, try wiping cache partition. You can find how to do it around this forums.

If problems still there, factory reset your phone.

Sudden overheat is often in the 5.0-5.1.1

I started having over-heating and rapid drain problems and called Samsung, they had me send it in and they replaced the battery and various other innards. Just got it back and its now fine.

This happened to me in one specific area I was in 2 times, I can attribute to bad service.

The phone gets super hot, and even reboots itself a couple times, and it's only when I go to this one place.
