Hey,

I just deleted Snapchat and Instagram, needed but not wanted so was happy to say goodbye. That's when I saw in my Firewall app (Rethink) that they are still here and communicating through the internet... What is going on here?

I hope this is not what I think it is but you know, I'm not a smart guy so.. Y'all have any idea what this could be?

Phone : Smasnug Galaxy S22+ (Exynos 2200)
Android : 14
Firewall App : Rethink
No root

Steps to reproduce : Need Rethink Firewall up and running on the device. Download Snapchat and Instagram, launch and log in. Use them for a couple day then delete them using UI settings. Open Firewall settings and see what's shown on screenshots (I blocked them before screenshoting, they were hooked on the internet before that)

Apps are definitely not showing anywhere else than in the Firewall App. I installed their latest versions through Playstore and did almost nothing with them.

Thanks for help guys View attachment 366761

Can you clarify what you mean by "deleting them using UI settings"? Did you go to the Settings>Apps menu, select the app there, and then tap Uninstall? Or do you mean that you long-pressed the app icon on your homescreen and selected Remove? If you did the latter, that typically just removes the shortcut from the homescreen, but doesn't uninstall the app from the phone.

Hey, yes I did uninstall it by going into the settings and not like the "desk part" of the UI. But anyway, tuns out it was gone after rebooting the Firewall app cache fresh. I'm still wondering a bit on what it could've been..

I agree with Mooncatt otherwise that firewall giving false information and should contact the dev of the app.

Moved this to our s22 forums
Oh thanks, I did not realize I was in the wrong forums, sorry about that. Anyway it disappeared after rebooting Rethink without the old cache so I may never know what it was. Probably old data tho..
