Something going on with updating apps? Error messages...

My wife's phone and my phone are unable to update any apps. We keep coming up with "update for ***** could not be downloaded due to an error. (500)". It has been like that for the past 3 hours. I'm also experiencing latency with google chrome on my pc. No problems using other browsers.
