Something I Miss

I got my Maxx yesterday. I really love it. There is one thing I miss though. I miss the x on apps that have something new - ie letting me know when new twitter posts have gone through, in FB to let me know people have posted, etc. Do I have that option, or is this something I will need to get use to?

Noticed that, too. I would have a little red number on top of the email or text icon telling me how many unread messages I had. I came from an HTC Thunderbolt, and miss that feature.
