Something is not right with my Nexus 9

My Nexus 9 is not happy. It's been a bit wonky after the 6.0 update and I have been thinking I should wipe the cache partion. Today it crashed a few times when sitting idle, saw it reboot a few times. Last time it didn't seem to want to load into Android, stuck on the animation.

Figured it was a good time as any to wipe the cache then, see if that helps. It's now been telling me it's formating /cache for 5 minutes or more. Pretty sure it's not supposed to take that time to do it. Will leave it for a while and see what happens.

Anyone with a useful tip on what I could do? Factory reset is one way I guess, but if it fails to wipe the cache...

Thankful for all the help I can get 😊

Well look at that. It did eventually finish and tablet seem to be happy again. I guess it can take some time formating then. Good to know 😊

Just wanted to add a comment for others that may come across this post. For some reason, formatting the cache on this tablet takes 15-20 minutes. I've done it a few times now and it always seems to take longer than it should. Much less powerful devices that I've owned take much less time (measurable in seconds, not minutes). Could have something to do with device encryption.
