I'm not sure where to look for this on my phone(pixel 2)but I have been getting these small little ads in a bubble on my upper right part of my screen by the clock. Whenever I click them they direct me to the play store. Is it normal to have ads or did they come with an app I may have installed?

It sounds like an app is advertising stuff in the Play Store.

For sure some app you have installed is doing that, it doesn't come like that since that's a very bad experience which shady apps/developers do. If it came like that believe me there will be furore over these kind of things. If u can recall from when it started happening then go and check what apps have you installed during that time frame and start uninstalling them to find the culprit.

That's what I'm trying to figure now, I may just do a reset and restore it

I think it was the call blocker app I downed, I will see if it happens now that I've removed it

IIRC you can just add someone to your contacts and set them to never ring... go straight to VM or even just ignore.

The caller in question is a unknown caller, so sadly that won't work.

If you long-press a number in the default dialer, you can opt to block it. I've done this before and it seems to work well.
