Another iOS convert here.. My beautiful garnet red GS3 just arrived late yesterday and got it activated today. Haven't moved my iTunes over yet, but have set up email and have been playing around with it a bit. All I can say is WOW! It's SO fast and sexy, not to mention beautiful all the way around. And it definitely needs a case so I think am going to get the Acase Superlegga Pro!

I'm on an iphone 3g currently, feels ancient as hell right now. Will finally get an s3 in the next few week. I've been lurking and scouring these forums for as much info as possible so I know what the hell to do with it once it's purchased, haha. It'll also be my first android phone (and only my 2nd smartphone, technically). All the reading around has been doing nothing but getting me more and more excited about it.

No one mentioned this but you can also disable the carrier bloat by going to the settings or drag and drop whatever app down on the app info at the bottom and tap disable

newmind83.. I was in the EXACT same boat.. had the iP3G since it came out and I'm telling you that you will be BLOWN away by the GS3.. It IS slippery though and even though I'm just starting the 30 day trial, am going to get a case.. Was using it like crazy today texting, calling, downloading apps, syncing with Kies to transfer part of my iTunes (would only move about 50% of the music), etc. and after 10 hours I still had 30% battery. Am going to do the calibration routine on the battery. I have downloaded Juice Defender too.. I don't have much LTE coverage near my home, but we have it around, though its mostly HSPA+ which I clocked at over 15 mbps+.

It will take a little while getting used to but you'll be stunned at the HD screen and how freaking fast this thing is..

Re: Bloatware, Yeah saw this story too: How to disable bloatware on your Samsung Galaxy S III: apps safe to remove

And I think the device has a VERY premium feel though as I say, it's definitely slippery!! Let everyone know when you get it like I have!

Once you taste android on such an amazing device like the GS3 you will never look back, trust me.
