Sony Tablet S IR remote app question

Just picked up a Sony Tablet S via WOOT for the insane price of $250 (including the cradle)...and I love it! Great tablet and after playing around with the remote control app...even better

Any idea on if this works with the PS3? I'd love to be able to control the blu-ray functions.

It works with the ps3 very well as a blue ray remote, I got my sony tablet in may and have almost given up all my remotes for it
