Sony Xperia Nexus

the Qualcom s4 8260a chip in this phone doesn't support LTE or CDMA, so no verizon. I guess it would be possible to add a stand alone chip to support LTE/CDMA, but since other S4 processors have LTE/CDMA included in the chip, why would they choose to add another chip if they didn't have to. this tells me this phone will never be CDMA or LTE capable.

my 2c.

But how much would that make sense at least from an LTE standpoint? I thought everyone was going to LTE?

ohh if that's what the Sony Xperia nexus will look like, Sony better watch out I thought apple had a patent for recrangles with rounded corners :)

Damn, that's disappointing. Are these phones even gonna come to the U.S. then? Seems odd to me that they would make a phone without LTE capability. Especially if its intended to sell in the states.

For everyone counting Verizon out, the fact remains that Verizon made up for the majority of Galaxy Nexus sales and, despite the update woes, it would be foolish for Google to not release their new Nexus (or Nexuses) for Verizon, or at least an unlocked, Verizon-compatible version (one with radios for GSM, HSPA+, CDMA and LTE, like a Verizon "global" phone). They're a business, after all.

I do think that's the next logical step for Google. Having a nexus that works on most all carriers would be a win.

Apparently it's just me but I don't think these new Xperia devices are that sexy. They look like something that would've come out in 2010. Maybe they look better in person though. I DO like the idea of multiple device manufacturers for the Nexus line.

Galaxy Nexus
Xperia Nexus
Optimus Nexus
RAZR Nexus
Acer Liquid Nexus
PadFone Nexus

You had me until RAZR Nexus then it just got dumb from there lol

About the first ever Nexus, I read a rumor awhile ago that LG was approached to manufacture the first ever Nexus phone but declined.
If there are multiple Nexi phones, I would probably choice LG over Sony. After the poor hardware in my GNEX i don't think I'd choose the GNEX 2.

I'd love a Motorola Razr Nexus, probably alot of others would also.
