Sony Xperia SP has no updates

I've had my Sony Xperia SP since November 2013, it is currently running on android 4.1.2 However the newest jelly bean update (4.3) should be available on my device but my phone keeps saying there is no updates does anyone know why or how to get the update?

Do you mean you've gone into Settings>About Phone>System Updates and it says you're up to date?

Yes that is what it says

This may be of interest. It seems to say that the update is not ready yet but have a read and see what you think.

Have been on that before but as strange as it is an update came through half an hour ago, so waiting for phone to charge so I can do it and see if it is the android update
how bizarre?
