Rumor has it March 7th was suppose to be the actual release date for Jelly Bean, not March 1st. That's why Sony yanked the update only a few hours after people saw it. Lets keep our fingers crossed and maybe March 7th comes with gifts. :D

I emailed sony support and tweeted to them. they both told me that the rollout is supposedly going on. I really wish they would just OTA it like everyone else instead of using the pc companion. I come from WP7 and when mango came out, I was able to use the trick method to get my mango update on my lg quantum the day it first rolled out for my phone. shame there really is no trick method to trick pc companion into giving me the 4.1.2 update.

My source tells me there was a bug in the update that could only be solved with a factory reset. Since most common users have a hard time doing that, they are trying to fix it so it updates more smoothly. Expected rollout date was pushed back for that reason.

Hopefully they figure out how to root and unlock our phones with that source code. :-D My old Atrix 4G was awesome once I rooted and unlocked it.

Could someone please help, I'm having trouble updating to jelly bean. The notification keeps popping up, but it fails every time I try to do it over the air. When I plug into my computer, PC Companion tells me the update is available, but I can't get step 3 to work, the one that says to power off the phone, wait 5 seconds, then plug the USB back in while holding the volume down button. The phone just starts charging and my PC doesn't recognize it because it is off. This is very frustrating, has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Anyone else having problems with jelly bean?
I updated my xperia Tl 3 days ago and ever since then my phone keeps crashing. At just random times the phone restarts itself.
I plugged it into the computer and using PC companion re downloaded the update but still the same problem.
I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

If you're encountering a lot of problems, I would recommend a factory reset. Sometimes after a major OS update conflicts can arise. I do one after every major update and have yet to experience any major issues. Hope this helps.
