Sony Xperia Z3 Reboots

Hi all,

I have my Z3 for 3 weeks now. No complaints but sometimes (4 times since) I'm experiencing reboots when I turn my screen on. Is there somebody who also has this problem? Do I need to turn to Sony to get a new phone?

I had a restart whilst it was in my pocket. I know because the recent list was cleared and the gap in battery graph. Weird as it didn't ask for my sim unlock code...

Had my phone for a week and a half and not had one restart, other phones in the past often would.

I've not had any issues at all but there are a few things you should try before sending it back to Sony. Uninstall any app you don't completely trust 100%. Check your sd card: is it OK? try it without it in or try a different card. Restore all the settings back to the default: does it still happen? If you send it away they will do a factory reset so you might as well try one too first if nothing else works.

My Galaxy S4 used to do that, but not my Xperia Z3

Tried a factoryreset, didn't have reboots for a couple of days (from Thursday) but i'm having apps crashing. 30mins ago turned my screen on and instantly E-mail and Camera crashed. Need to reboot my phone since I cannot use my Camera anymore now. Really weird. I think this is a software issue. Anybody who also has this problem?

Nope sorry. Sounds like an issue with your handset (or something you've installed on it)

I've had 4 reboots in a week of owning it. I have to do a reset and see if it still happens. that's what Verizon wanted to do, but I told them it was randomly happening. So no sense resetting it at the store. I need to back up my phone and reset it. Will probably do it tomorrow.
