Sony z5c or Nexus 5x

My main point in these two phones is to have a smaller one handed device. Would actually prefer the Sony because I know for sure it's pocketable but worried about lag as I've heard. The Nexus I'm worried about size still a bit large but stick Android. What do you guys think?

I prefer vanilla Android, so would go for the 5X
