Now I don't know if I'm going to make mine rooted again.. The tether is the only thing I will miss but I can get pdanet for it..

I had flashed mine to 2.01 stock using the spf method then there is a way to upgrade to 2.1 from there that will give you root access.. check out droid-life.com. Kellex has some good tutorials as well as videos, dont have the links at the moment though, but should be easy to find

if you use that link above to get to stock 2.1 with SPRecovery, you can use this to get you root access - (it won't let me post the link cuase i'm a noob here, lol... but on Droid Life search for "video-installing-stock-2-1-with-root-access"
