ive been looking myself,i did try the amphetamines scripts but no noticeable diffrrence. speed issues ive noticed usually come from signal strength. i get great 3G outside,inside..so so.
Using a DNS app or script to change the DNS your are connected to yields amazing results. I generally keep mine set on Googles DNS servers.

You have to be rooted to use this btw. Also updating your PRL can have fairly good results.
