Haven't heard either way but since spy shots don't show any flaps covering ports I doubt it.

None of the leaks indicate any waterproofing which honestly is pretty disappointing. With the way this thing has been leaked, I think it would have been out by now.

It can be done, its just not cheap. Not the same but in my industry we have IP68/69k connectors where the pins can be completely exposed and it keeps the same rating...just a silly rubber cover is cheaper however it is also MUCH more likely to fail.

Yea it can be done not much different then the Headphone Jack of the S5 it's not sealed but still uses a +and - in an area that could be wet under some instances . I just think it's not but hope it is as I won't get another Phone without it and this phone seems like everything else I need might be in it but this. I have an EVo4gLTE and where yes plenty is out there better spec'd then that nothing really Enough in all areas to make me upgrade yet. S5 was very close if 3Gb Ram and 32Gb was avail on Sprint I would have that right now.
