sorry so minor of an issue Facebook button sounds

I have a Galaxy S10.. Had it over a year.. I have always had the like button (and associated) of facebook turned off ...or muted.. I have , for the last 3 or 4 days had an issue with Facebook Marketplace showing as a error and try again later.. I decided and have uninstalled facebook .. reinstalled it and the Marketplace issue is fixed.. Now however when using the like button it has a 'poppin' noise and there seems no way to turn it off..
All help places say to go to. 'privacy and settings/settings/ media and contacts/ turn off app notifications toggle..' ... This does not work because there is no notifications toggle on my phone... any help on this is greatly appreciated.. It is quite annoying..

Welcome to the forums. Have you tried under settings>notifications? You should be able to go to Facebook, and select notifications under that info screen.

Thank you.. There is nothing to mute sounds or in app sounds or anything like that under settings/notifications.. only choices for how to receive notifications from installed apps.. ie... push, email, SMS, or in-app only..

Hi welcome to AC!

While your in the app for some reason you can't turn off on app sounds as Facebook guidelines say so no option at this time .
