Sorting photos by date

Does anyone know how to re-sort out of order photos in the gallery and photos apps? I had to manually transfer photos from my wife's Nexus 5 and then delete them because she did not have enough room on her old phone to transfer them via the LG Switch app.

If you click on the hamburger menu in the upper left, you'll have options to see by album or timeline.

You can then trap on year, month, or day to view them. That's the only way I know...

One other thing I thought of. When you transferred the photos over, they may have altered the date stamp on the photos to the date you transferred, so this may not be of much use...

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Also I saw the options you listed, but actual sorting is not one of the, Thanks anyway.

Edit: Just looked at them while plugged into my PC. The created date did indeed change to the date of transfer, even though it remained correct when I transferred them to my PC. However, the "date taken" is still intact. No clue why this happened. They are correct on the PC.
