My ASUS ZenWatch 2, all of a few months old, appears to have gone mute. Noticed it last night when I put it on the charger and it didn't chime like it usually does.

Can't find anything in the settings, either on the watch or in the Android Wear app, to address this. (Though I did notice Google removed the handy notification test stuff in AW. Thanks, Google!)

Anybody else ever have this happen?
 
Does a reboot help? If not, maybe a factory reset -- at least it doesn't take too long to set an Android Wear device back up after a reset.
 
I did try a reboot. I suppose I'll try an FR of the watch, next. Why not: It often works for MS-Windows.
 
Just tried a factory reset. No go. Looks like the sound is permanently dead :(

That will be the last ASUS product I'll ever buy.

Now off to Best Buy and Amazon to give it the rating it deserves.
